What information should I include in a bag manufacturing request?

What does MOQ mean?

MOQ stands for Minimum Order Quantity. It is the minimum number of units a manufacturer can economically produce for a specific product and production setup.

MOQ exists because every custom run has fixed setup costs: cutting dies, print screens, sampling, material purchasing and line preparation. Those costs are spread across the order, so below a certain quantity the unit price stops making sense for both sides.

The standard MOQ at VYGR Bags is 500 pieces per design. The final figure can shift with the material, the construction and the level of customization, so confirm the MOQ for your specific product when you request a quote. Custom-dyed fabric, special hardware or unusual constructions can raise it; simpler bags in stock materials keep it at the baseline.

Do I need a tech pack?

No. A tech pack speeds things up, but it is not required to get a quote from VYGR Bags.

A tech pack is a technical document that specifies a product completely: dimensions, materials, construction, stitching, hardware, artwork placement and tolerances. Professional sourcing teams usually have one. First-time founders usually don't, and that is fine.

You can start with a sketch, dimensions, reference images, or a written description. Missing details are pinned down during the specification stage, before anything is quoted or sampled.

How do I choose the material?

You do not need to know the exact fabric name. Describe how the bag should look, feel and perform, and material selection is part of the process.

Useful things to mention:

• How structured or soft the bag should be
• Durability expectations and target lifespan
• Sustainability requirements (organic, recycled, certified)

What customization options are available?

All bags are produced to your specification: your label, your branding, your packaging. Available methods:

How does sampling work?

Every VYGR project goes through a pre-production sample before bulk. The sequence:

1. You send your request
2. The specification is reviewed and aligned (material, size, construction, branding)
3. You receive a quotation with lead time
4. A pre-production sample is produced
5. You review the sample; revisions are made if needed
6. You approve the sample
7. Bulk production begins

The sample confirms material, construction, measurements and logo on a real product. Approving it carefully is the cheapest way to prevent errors across a full run. Bulk production does not start until you approve the sample.

What happens after I submit my request?

2. VYGR reviews it and replies within 24 hours with next steps, pricing direction and lead time
3. Missing details are clarified
4. Specification is confirmed and a quotation is prepared
5. A pre-production sample is produced for your approval
6. After approval, bulk production runs: cutting, sewing, hardware, decoration
7. Quality control: in-line checks, measurement verification against the approved sample, final inspection
8. Goods are packed to your spec and shipped with export documentation handled in-house

Typical production lead time is 15–25 days, confirmed per project in the quotation.

Example of a weak RFQ

"Hi, I need 500 custom bags. How much?"

There is nothing wrong with starting here, but it cannot be priced. Bag type, size, material, branding and destination are all missing, and each one moves the price. The reply would be a list of questions rather than a number.

Improved version:

"Hi, I need 500 drawstring bags for a sports event in the Netherlands, roughly 35 x 45 cm, polyester, 1-colour logo print on one side, delivery by mid-September. Photo of a similar bag attached."

Same buyer, same budget, one paragraph longer, and now it can be quoted.
